Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 12, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how KillSwitch – Internet Blocker ("the App"), developed by Dueta Technologies ("we", "us", "our"), handles information when you use the App.
Summary
We do not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. The App operates entirely on your device.
What the App does
The App lets you choose specific apps on your device and blocks their internet access whenever a VPN is not active. This is achieved using Android's built-in VpnService and, optionally, Accessibility Service APIs, both of which run locally on your device.
Information we do NOT collect
- We do not collect your name, email address, location, or any other personal identifiers.
- We do not collect, log, or transmit your browsing activity, app usage, or network traffic.
- We do not use analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking SDKs.
- We do not create user accounts, and no data is sent to any server we operate, because the App does not connect to any backend server.
Data stored locally on your device
The App stores the following information locally on your device only, using Android's standard local storage (SharedPreferences). This data is never transmitted anywhere:
- The list of apps you have chosen to block.
- Your app preferences and settings.
This data is deleted automatically when you uninstall the App.
Permissions we use and why
- VPN Service (VpnService): used to create a local, on-device network tunnel that blocks internet access for the apps you select when no VPN is connected. This tunnel does not route your traffic to any external server operated by us or any third party.
- Accessibility Service (optional): used, if you enable it, to detect when a blocked app is opened so the App can prevent its use until a VPN is connected. This service does not read, log, or transmit the content of other apps.
- Foreground Service / Notifications: used to show an ongoing notification while blocking is active, as required by Android for background services.
- Battery Optimization Exemption: requested so the blocking service can keep running reliably in the background.
- Query All Packages: used to display the list of apps installed on your device so you can choose which ones to block.
Third parties
We do not share any information with third parties, because we do not collect any information to share.
Children's privacy
The App does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.
